Determined to hone her skills, she attended a workshop in San Diego, where she had a captivating encounter with Brittle Stars - a starfish relative with a unique, finger-like appearance.

As she steadied herself to capture the moment, an accidental flash startled her, but the brief glimpse of the vivid underwater colors on the preview screen left her in awe. The photograph she captured, featuring blue, yellow, and orange creatures on purple rocks, mesmerized her with its vibrancy, and she felt a deep calling to share the unique beauty of the underwater world with everyone.

However, life's responsibilities, such as work and caregiving, often shifted Jamie's focus away from her dream. Confined at home during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she made a significant shift in her life by purchasing a travel trailer, embracing frequent camping trips and the newfound freedom they brought.

Now, Jamie spends weeks each year creating and selling her photographs, with great fulfillment in supporting conservation efforts for the natural world. Her work, available in a variety of mediums, including canvas, metal, and acrylic, arrives ready to hang, allowing her customers to easily bring the beauty of nature into their homes or offices.
